Location: Remote Travel: Up to 50% The Opportunity A leading power generation manufacturer is seeking an experienced project management and commissioning professional to support the execution of mission-critical data center power projects. The position will play a key role in the installation, testing, commissioning, and successful handover of emergency power generation systems for major data center customers. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have experience working in technically demanding field environments and understand how projects move from equipment delivery through installation, start-up, testing, commissioning, and final handover. Successful candidates will demonstrate: Strong project ownership and organizational skills. Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, customers, and technical teams. The ability to make sound decisions in fast-moving field environments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to lead and influence cross-functional professionals without direct reporting authority. A collaborative approach and the ability to drive projects forward across multiple stakeholders. Comfort traveling regularly to customer and project sites. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate on-site generator installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning activities. Lead project schedules, deliverables, resources, vendors, and field activities from execution through project completion. Serve as a primary point of contact for contractors, distributors, customers, and other project stakeholders. Coordinate closely with third-party vendors and internal engineering, service, and project teams. Contribute to the development and execution of commissioning documentation and project plans. Provide technical guidance related to emergency generator products and system applications. Work with contractors and distributors to ensure generator solutions are installed and commissioned effectively. Identify and resolve project challenges while escalating complex issues when appropriate. Provide clear and consistent project updates to customers and internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability among stakeholders who may not be direct reports. Qualifications Candidates should bring a combination of project management, commissioning, field service, electrical, generator, or related technical experience. Education / Technical Background Associate's degree, industry apprenticeship such as an Electrician Apprenticeship, or equivalent relevant industry experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Electrical power, electrical construction, generator, reciprocating engine, or related technical experience is highly desirable. Field service experience involving the installation and testing of generator systems strongly preferred.
