About the job you're considering We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with experience leading medical device product development projects, managing both hardware and software components of electromechanical products throughout the full product lifecycle. The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of medical device product development projects.
The Project Manager will oversee projects throughout the entire product lifecycle, ensuring adherence to product development processes, design controls, quality standards, and organizational objectives.
Your Role - Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource requirements, and deliverables.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive project execution and achieve key milestones.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Support product development activities from concept through commercialization.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project objectives and expectations.
- Communicate project status, risks, issues, milestones, and action plans to leadership teams and governance boards.
- Facilitate project meetings and ensure alignment across functional teams.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Monitor resource utilization and work with functional management to secure necessary project resources.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Drive issue resolution and escalation processes when required.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and planning materials.
- Ensure compliance with medical device product development processes, design controls, and applicable regulatory standards.
Your skills and experience - Bachelor's Degree
- Proven experience managing complex product development projects within a cross-functional environment.
- Hands-on experience managing both hardware and software development projects involving electromechanical products in medical devices.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI, IPMA, or equivalent Project Management certification.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management methodologies.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $73,150 - $174,000/year
