DescriptionWhat We're Looking For:
AmeriSave is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Enterprise Technology & AI organization. This role sits at the intersection of technology and the business, driving complex, cross-functional initiatives that span in-house built systems, operational process change, and executive-level strategic priorities.
This is a high-visibility role for someone who has led both technology projects and business initiatives end to end, ideally within a well-known mortgage lending organization, and who is equally comfortable in a Gantt chart, a stakeholder steering committee, or a working session with engineers reviewing a build. You will be the connective tissue between technology, operations, and leadership, translating strategy into executable plans and keeping delivery honest with data.
What You'll Do:- End-to-End Project Ownership: Own the full lifecycle of complex, cross-functional projects, from charter and requirements through execution, go-live, and post-launch measurement, spanning both technology builds and business/operational initiatives.
- In-House Technology Delivery: Manage delivery of technology projects built in-house by internal engineering teams, partnering closely with product, engineering, and QA to sequence work, manage dependencies, and de-risk timelines for custom-built platforms and tools.
- Planning & Tooling: Build and maintain detailed project plans, roadmaps, and Gantt charts using modern project management tooling; track milestones, critical path, resourcing, and risk in a way that is transparent to both delivery teams and executives.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead project teams composed of stakeholders across Technology, Operations, Capital Markets, Compliance, and Customer Service; align competing priorities, resolve blockers, and drive decisions to closure across departmental lines.
- Executive Communication: Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and data-backed status updates, business cases, and executive readouts; comfortably present progress, risks, and trade-offs directly to senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders.
- Analytical Rigor: Use data to drive decisions: define success metrics up front, build reporting/dashboards to track project and post-launch performance, and use quantitative analysis to identify risk, scope creep, or underperformance early.
- Process Improvement: Identify process gaps and inefficiencies across the project portfolio and drive continuous improvement in how the organization plans, prioritizes, and delivers work.
- Risk Management: Proactively surface, document, and manage project risks and issues, escalating appropriately and driving mitigation plans to protect timelines and business outcomes.
What You'll Need:- Deep Industry Experience: 7+ years of project management experience leading both technology and business initiatives, preferably within the mortgage industry, and preferably with a well-known mortgage lender or financial services company.
- Technology & Business Project Management: Demonstrated success managing technology projects built in-house (custom platforms, internal tools, proprietary systems) in close partnership with engineering teams, in addition to managing business/operational projects.
- Tools & Planning: Advanced proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar) and hands-on skill building and maintaining Gantt charts, roadmaps, and resourcing plans.
- Cross-Functional Project Management: Proven track record managing initiatives across multiple departments and stakeholder groups, building consensus and driving alignment among teams with competing priorities.
- Executive Communication: Polished, confident communicator who can distill complex, technical, or ambiguous initiatives into clear narratives for executive audiences, both in writing and in live presentations.
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable working with data to define KPIs, build simple dashboards or reporting views, and use metrics (not just status colors) to tell the true story of a project's health.
- Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification a plus; experience with Agile/Scrum delivery models is a requirement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Finance, or a related field; MBA a plus.
- High-speed internet required for remote work, Cable or Fiber ONLY with the ability to connect via Ethernet. Minimum speeds: 70/30 Mbps (basic), 200-300/35-70 Mbps (shared), 500-1,000/100+ Mbps (heavy use).
