DescriptionThe Senior Project Engineer will manage overall engineering design efforts for Design-only and/or Design-Build/EPC projects for natural gas infrastructure. Design-only projects will encompass engineering design work for traditional design-bid-build projects. Design-Build/EPC projects will encompass all design, procurement, and construction management activities.
- Manage overall engineering design efforts for natural gas measurement, regulation, upgrading, and compression facilities.
- Prepare and manage final engineering budgets.
- Manage implementation of Quality Program for engineering designs.
- Manage independent quality/completeness reviews of engineering deliverables.
- Direct and manage field engineering services.
- Manage engineering design schedule, budget, and progress measurement functions with project controls teams.
- Coordinate and manage seams across multiple engineering disciplines including mechanical, process, electrical, structural, and corrosion.
- Support procurement, prepare equipment specifications and bid documentation, coordinate with vendors, and review vendor bids and proposals.
- Support Project Managers to prepare client change orders.
- Lead engineering preparation of subcontract plan and subcontractor bid and award packages.
- Manage turnover and start-up plans.
- Manage and expedite vendor and fabrication shop progress.
- Manage preparation of and/or prepare monthly client status reports.
- Manage meetings and review meeting status.
- Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university and 7 years of direct project engineering experience managing design efforts for Design-only and EPC projects for natural gas facilities required.
- Expert knowledge in a degreed engineering discipline. Basic knowledge in all other engineering disciplines.
- Strong facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly effective communicator with clear and concise writing and presentation skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to develop and manage work plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Provide leadership to diverse project teams will be preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
Compensation $125,000.00-235,000.00 Yearly
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
