Senior Project Coordinator
Reporting to the Project Director, the Senior Project Coordinator will be based on an Industrial project site. Ability to work a 14 day on, 7 day off schedule in Western Canada is required.
What You Will Be Working On- Assist with major construction projects, including liaison with Owners, Consulting Engineers and Subcontractors.
- Support with the preparation and execution of overall work plan and schedule.
- Review and process shop drawings.
- Coordination of material and equipment needs.
- Prepare weekly productivity and cost tracking.
- Prepare cost estimates for change orders and audit purposes.
- Price site instructions, work orders and change notices.
- Assist with quality assurance and management of client expectations
- Prepare monthly progress application and expedite payments.
- Provide document turnover to client at completion of project.
- Assist with maintenance of project files and preparation of reports.
- Participate in on-site safety meetings and be a leader of initiatives.
- Provide safety leadership through implementation of the Bird Safety Program and monitoring the safety performance of the project team and subcontractors.
- Foster and maintain positive relations and communication with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.
- Build and manage business relationships.
What We Are Looking For- Undergraduate degree in a Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Construction Engineering considered an asset
- 5+ or more years of work experience in civil, concrete, or earthworks projects with industrial clients required
- Highly motivated and able to complete assignments with minimal direct supervision.
- Knowledge of standard health, safety, and environmental requirements and practices in the construction industry
- Drivers license and able to operate a motor vehicle required.
- Ability to work a 14 day on, 7 day off schedule in Western Canada
