Full Job Description

Our team in Canada is growing. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Controls Specialist to join our Minerals and Metals business in Vancouver or Calgary.

This role is a great chance to grow and build your skills in project control while working on exciting projects. You'll get hands-on experience with scheduling, budgets and scope control, tracking expenses, and making a real impact on the team's success.

About the Role
  • Establish project controls for the project utilising standard Ausenco systems, by creating the control budget using the work breakdown structure and control accounts against which trends, scope changes, commitments, payments, forecasts and budget variances are monitored and reported.
  • Assist in the change management process to track and control project adjustments effectively.
  • Implement and lead the Planning effort on project
  • Continually monitor and update project schedule and cost forecasts by engaging with project teams to make sure that forecasts accurately reflect the current scope and schedule.
  • Prepare detailed reports for managers, providing clear insights into project progress and financials.
  • Be able to lead project controls team on projects or within department


About You
  • Previous experience in project controls specifically in scheduling and cost, or a related field
  • Previous experience in mining, construction or engineering is an asset
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant field is an asset
  • Significant technical knowledge and practical experience with applicable software systems: Primavera P6, Oracle, and related Management tools for Cost (Ecosys is preferred), Change, and Progress
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders


Salary range: $120,000 - $145,000 annually

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
