  • Monitor budgets and manage change, including running earned value analysis and projecting cash flow.
  • Track regulatory frameworks and evaluate potential risks to prevent project delays.
  • Update work plans based on inputs and changes, ensuring thorough review and acceptance.
  • Create dashboards and program reports to provide visibility into departmental progress.

Position Overview

This position requires strong scheduling integration abilities of project team members and other departments. Competencies required involve strong communication skills, ability to influence (without authority), and relationship/team building.

Responsibilities
  • Perform project support and work planning scheduling services for the System and Protection Department.
  • Learns and uses written and/or historical knowledge procedures, processes, and workflows to develop reports that communicate the System Protection department27s work plan near, mid, and long-term internally and externally.
  • Maintain department27s work plan and continue to integrate other departments, other data sources such as the Engineering Department27s Project Status Report (PSR)
  • Monitoring budgets, handling change management, running earned value analysis (EVA), and projecting cash flow.
  • Tracking regulatory frameworks and evaluating environmental or supply chain risks before they derail project delivery
  • Seeks inputs and changes affecting the work plan and ensures these are reviewed, accepted and then updates work plan appropriately.
  • Monitors and communicates department27s project specific tasks, inputs required, and durations needed of work plan Project Managers during Project Plan development
  • Develops process for collecting data related to department trends and provides input to continuous improvement ideas
  • Creates dashboards and program reports for System Protection department manager
  • Review communication of department27s status and assists with the communication of this status with project managers, stakeholders, and management.
  • Provides accurate and timely dissemination of information based on inputs developed and received.
  • Provides a high level of customer service and fosters team building. Builds strong relationships with peers, stakeholders and management.
  • Works with the project stakeholders to capture and document the business requirements of the department and desired end-state.
  • Builds schedule templates specifically for System Protection27s use (not Project Team templates).
  • Utilizes staff integration of inputs required, durations of tasks, and resources required for specific tasks to be communicated to project teams.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have 15+ years of experience within project controls: scheduling, cost control, and risk/compliance
  • Major capital project experience
  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • Must be able to work in-person Hybrid schedule either in Woodlands, TX or New Orleans, LA
  • Specific software experience using MS Project or P6 Primavera for scheduling and resource management and proficient in Excel.
