DescriptionSummary of Duties: The Senior Project Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial health and performance of complex projects throughout their lifecycle. This role partners closely with project management and operations teams to manage budgets, forecasts, cost controls, billing, reporting, and financial analysis, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and in alignment with company objectives. The Senior Project Controller provides strategic financial guidance, identifies risks and opportunities, and drives accountability through accurate reporting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
Primary Responsibilities:- Customer invoicing on GMP projects. Work with the project executives and project managers to assist with the monthly invoice to the customer, to ensure the amounts are incompliance with the contract and customer expectations to facilitate prompt payment
- Create a full understanding of the contract to determine the most likely scenario for the final GMP total
- Forecast the monthly spend on the large contracts
- Understand and participate in monthly pro-score meetings
- Participate in monthly project budget variance meetings
- Strong understanding of Work in Process schedule
- Work closely and develop relationships with operational managers to meet financial support needs
- Ad-hoc financial analysis and process improvements as required.
Primary Career Level: Professional- College/University graduate with a bachelor's degree. Accounting degree preferred
- Strong Excel skills required (Tables, Pivot Tables, Functions, etc.)
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience.
- Professional accounting experience a strong plus, CPA or CMA
- Experience in construction or manufacturing.
- Vista ERP experience a plus but not required.
- Capable of independent work, history of continual process improvement in delivery of financial requirements.
