What does the team work on?

Roku's Viewer Product team owns the ever-evolving end-to-end experience for the 100+ million households that use Roku every day. We design, build, and optimize everything they see-from the Roku Home Screen, Live TV Guide, and Sports Zone to the Roku Channel app on and off-platform-and power it all with our Consumer-AI personalization engine, which is also used for these experiences, as well as the billions of searches performed. Our global, cross-functional squad of product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers spans San Jose, New York, Santa Monica, Austin, Boston, the UK, Mexico, and India. Our mission is to connect 400 million viewers worldwide to their favorite entertainment through something that is simple and delightful.

What is the role?

Roku is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Themed Experiences to join the Viewer Product team and help bring to life a new, high-visibility surface on the Roku Home Screen. This is a highly visible, leadership-level program.

This role will drive the program toward launch, coordinating across engineering, product management, advertising, personalization, and creative teams to deliver a differentiated Roku experience.

The Senior Program Manager will build and maintain program structure, manage cross-functional dependencies spanning multiple time zones, and ensure the team hits critical milestones on an ambitious timeline. This person will also partner with stakeholders to develop tooling and scheduling workflows for content creators, enabling a sustainable and scalable production process. The ideal candidate is a seasoned program leader who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, earns trust through decisive action, and brings recommendations on AI-driven automations and methodologies to optimize program execution.

For California, New York, and Massachusetts - The estimated annual base salary for this position is between $280,000 - $310,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

  • Drive end-to-end program management for a new home screen experience from development through launch and ongoing operations
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across product, engineering, design, advertising, personalization, and creative teams
  • Build and maintain detailed program plans, timelines, and dependency maps across globally distributed teams spanning multiple time zones
  • Establish and run program governance including status reporting, risk identification, escalation paths, and decision-making frameworks
  • Partner with product management to translate vision into actionable milestones and deliverables
  • Develop tooling requirements and scheduling workflows for content creators to enable scalable production
  • Drive alignment across senior stakeholders, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and priorities
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including AI-powered automations and methodologies, to accelerate program delivery
  • Manage competing priorities and make timely trade-off decisions to keep the program on track
  • Leverage project management tools such as Jira, Jira Product Discovery, and Asana to maintain program visibility and accountability
