Job Summary:
The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our North American Public Sector. In this role, you will manage complex projects to completion, from initiation through delivery to closure. You'll coordinate with cross-functional teams to complete distinct projects on time and within budget. As a Senior Program Manager, you'll need to be organized and detail-oriented and have substantial experience managing IT and software consulting projects, relying on traditional systems and software development methodologies. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

- Mentor and guide junior team members, offering advice and oversight to ensure high-quality program execution.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, ensuring program alignment with customer expectations.
- Manage program risks and employ creative solutions to overcome challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver results, maintaining accountability for program outcomes.
- Prepare and present executive-level reports and updates on program progress and outcomes.
- Coordinate team activities and ensure that program tasks are completed on time and within scope.
- Coach and mentor junior-level project managers and program managers
- Maintain professionalism when problem-solving and resolving issues
- Develop a foundational knowledge of Red Hat's technologies
- Maintain awareness of emerging Red Hat technologies
What you will do:- Knowledge of specific industry project management and technical delivery methodologies like those based on the Project Management Institute (PMI), system and software development, product development, or scrum
- 5+ years of experience working as a project manager managing customer-facing IT consulting projects
- Ability to affect, inspect, and adapt company culture
- Demonstrated ability to motivate project team and individual contributors and mediate conflicts
- Experience using various project management and Agile tools, frameworks and methodologies
- Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to handle multiple priorities
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Frequent travel in the future may be required to work alongside leading public sector customers.
- Scrum master and project management certification is a plus
The salary range for this position is $130,420.00 - $215,300.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay TransparencyRed Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
