A Day in the Life

This role will be a key part of the Operations team as we look to optimize our portfolio to create better representative on the Commercialization core team aligned with ACM's One Product Transformation model. The role will support the Blood Oxygen Management and HealthCast franchises within the business.

Responsibilities will include the following and other duties may be assigned:
  • Phase In Planning:
    • Work closely with the CTOR role during NPI project to ensure that volume forecast, and COGS are aligned with Enrich file expectations.
    • Ensure regions are committed to Phase In/Phase Out volumes and included in financial forecasts.
    • Confirm global and regional forecasts align
    • Understand Enrich file assumptions and launch timing with global marketing
    • Ensure that all products are extended to the regions appropriately and that customer orders are able to be placed
    • Support supply planners on getting sufficient inventory to regions for product launch
  • Phase out Planning:
    • Product rationalization in alignment with marketing roadmap
    • Confirm end of manufacturing, end of sale, end of service timeframes
    • Develop phase out production strategy with supply planners and marketing to ensure inventory burn down in all regions
  • Process improvement:
    • Provide program specific updates to the Portfolio Management Review and Global Demand Review as part of the IBP process and other ACM Operating Mechanisms
    • Develop tools to support all steps as appropriate
    • Develop and document processes to provide continuous improvement
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product launches and phase outs
    • Lead or participate in problem-solving efforts to address product lifecycle or manufacturing challenges.

Must-Have:
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Experience with NPI and EOL processes in a manufacturing or technology-driven environment
  • Product launch experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, automotive)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment


Nice to Have:
  • Knowledge of ERP and PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Agile, Arena)
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
  • Identifies, manages, resolves, and escalates issues in a proactive, creative, and timely fashion
  • Demonstrated strong business and financial acumen
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Influence management skills. Ability to influence business senior leaders, functional leaders, peers, and individual contributors
  • Familiarity with hardware or complex product supply chains


For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. a7 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$145,600.00 - $218,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
