Full Job Description
The Senior Program Manager role is responsible for managing and delivering complex, cross-functional programs that support enterprise and functional priorities. This role focuses on disciplined execution, coordination across multiple projects or workstreams, and consistent delivery of outcomes aligned to defined objectives. The Senior Program Manager operates with limited direction, partners closely with business and technology stakeholders, and applies standard program management practices to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Program Planning & Delivery
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of complex programs or multiple related projects, from planning through implementation and close-out.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resourcing.
  • Ensure delivery remains on time, within scope, and aligned to defined objectives and priorities.

Execution Management
  • Track and manage program-level risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate as needed with recommended mitigation actions.
  • Coordinate activities across project managers, workstream leads, and functional teams.
  • Ensure program deliverables meet quality standards and agreed-upon success criteria.

Governance & Reporting
  • Support established program governance routines, including status reporting, reviews, and escalation forums.
  • Prepare clear, concise updates on program progress, risks, and decisions required for leadership.
  • Monitor financials, forecasts, and spend for assigned programs.

Stakeholder Coordination
  • Partner with business, technology, finance, and operations stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution consistency.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and working sessions to drive progress and issue resolution.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through proactive communication and transparency.

Standards & Continuous Improvement
  • Apply standard program and project management methodologies, tools, and templates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, coordination, and execution quality within assigned programs.
  • Support adoption of enterprise program management practices and tools.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in program or project management roles.
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple workstreams.
  • Proven ability to develop and present business cases, with hands-on involvement in building solutions.
  • Strong planning, organization, risk management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while following established frameworks and governance.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting technology, transformation, or enterprise initiatives.
  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments.
  • PMP or equivalent project/program management certification.


Role Characteristics (Level-Set)
  • Senior individual contributor responsible for execution and coordination of complex programs.
  • Operates within defined strategy and direction, escalates decisions appropriately.
  • Influences outcomes primarily through planning discipline, execution management, and stakeholder coordination.
