As a Senior Program Analyst - State and Federal Programs (Including ELOP), you will be responsible for (but not limited to):- Managing state and federal program requirements, timelines, and compliance activities to ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and district policies
- Coordinating and supporting the implementation of Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) services and other state and federally funded programs
- Collecting, analyzing, auditing, and reporting program data to monitor effectiveness, support decision-making, and meet reporting requirements
- Monitoring budgets, expenditures, funding allocations, and program documentation to ensure fiscal accountability and compliance
- Developing reports, presentations, and recommendations for district leaders and stakeholders
- Providing technical assistance, training, and guidance to school and district staff regarding program requirements, processes, and best practices
- Researching and interpreting state and federal regulations and ensuring programs remain compliant with changing requirements
- Managing complex projects and coordinating the work of multiple stakeholders to ensure deadlines and program goals are met
- Collaborating with schools, departments, community partners, and external agencies to support student services and program implementation
- Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and audit-ready files using district systems and technology
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing solutions that enhance program effectiveness and operational efficiency
- Supporting department and district goals through strong project management, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
What you need for this position: - Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Bachelors or Associates Degree in a related area, or 4 years of relevant work experience with increasing responsibility

SB 848 Child Safety & Employment Disclosure RequirementEffective January 1, 2026, in accordance with California Senate Bill 848 (School Employee Misconduct/Child Abuse Prevention Act), applicants for employment with San José Unified are subject to enhanced child safety, training, and employment disclosure requirements.
Under SB 848, schools are required to strengthen background vetting procedures and obtain employment history information related to allegations of egregious misconduct involving students. Former employers may be contacted to release records regarding substantiated findings of misconduct as permitted by law. Failure to provide complete and accurate information regarding prior educational employment or relevant misconduct findings may result in disqualification from the hiring process or withdrawal of an offer of employment.
SB 848 also expands mandated reporter requirements and requires annual child abuse prevention training for employees and certain volunteers by July 1, 2026. All employees must comply with district-adopted child safety policies, including procedures for supervising and protecting students.
