Team Overview

The Services team works closely together to set PowerSchool customers up for ongoing success through post-implementation support, troubleshooting, consultation on system setup options, and training on features and functionality. The team offers cross-portfolio support, all while meeting organizational objectives for revenue, utilization, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Application Consultant – Atrieve & eFinancePlus 

    Position Summary 

    The Application Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, training, and supporting PowerSchool ERP solutions, including both Atrieve and eFinancePlus. This role partners with school districts to translate business requirements, design system solutions, configure applications, and ensure successful adoption of ERP functionality. 

    The consultant serves as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle, providing expertise in financial, payroll, human resources, purchasing, budgeting, workflow, and reporting processes. The position works closely with customers, project managers, support teams, technical consultants, and product specialists to deliver high-quality implementations, optimize business processes, and drive customer success.  

    Key Responsibilities 

    Implementation & Solution Delivery 

    • Lead and support implementations of Atrieve and eFinancePlus ERP solutions. 
    • Facilitate discovery, design, and business process review sessions with customers. 
    • Analyze customer requirements and translate them into application configurations. 
    • Configure modules, workflows, security, business rules, and system settings. 
    • Assist with data conversion planning, validation, reconciliation, and testing activities. 
    • Support go-live preparation, deployment, stabilization, and project closure activities. 
    • Identify risks, issues, and mitigation strategies throughout project execution. 

    Functional Consulting 

    • Provide subject matter expertise in K-12 financial and administrative operations. 
    • Advise customers on best practices for:  
    • General Ledger 
    • Accounts Payable 
    • Purchasing 
    • Budget Preparation 
    • Fixed Assets 
    • Payroll 
    • Human Resources 
    • Workflow and Approvals 
    • State Reporting 
    • Recommend process improvements and operational efficiencies. 
    • Assist customers with adoption of new features and software enhancements. 

    Testing & Quality Assurance 

    • Develop and execute testing strategies and test scenarios. 
    • Support unit testing, system testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). 
    • Validate system functionality and ensure alignment with documented business requirements. 
    • Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate resolutions with technical teams. 

    Training & Documentation 

    • Develop customer-specific training materials and job aids. 
    • Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and train-the-trainer sessions. 
    • Create implementation documentation, configuration guides, and process workflows. 
    • Transfer knowledge to customers and internal teams. 

    Customer Success & Managed Services 

    • Provide post-go-live consulting and stabilization support. 
    • Participate in Annual Expert Services (AES) engagements. 
    • Conduct office hours, optimization reviews, and health-check sessions. 
    • Support customers with annual, seasonal, and compliance-related processes. 
    • Assist with enhancement requests and solution optimization initiatives. 

     Internal Collaboration 

    • Partner with Project Managers to manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables. 
    • Collaborate with Support, Product Management, Development, and Technical Services teams. 
    • Document project activities and maintain accurate project records. 
    • Contribute to internal knowledge bases, best practices, and reusable implementation assets.  

    Required Qualifications

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $101,500 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
