Maintains production infrastructure, platforms and services. Works independently with other teams in the organization and provides solutions for their needs. Designs and implements new, scalable solutions for fast changing environments with oversight from senior team members. Performs deep drill down analysis into production support operations and provides necessary fixes. Independently Investigates errors and recommends changes to enhance troubleshooting processes. Builds and implements standard to moderately complex enhancements to resolve defects. Monitors and brings in new ideas to improve production infrastructure, platforms, and/or services. Participates in stakeholders meetings and works on the design, development, configuration, implementing, of enterprise supporting systems. Identifies server architecture and networking solutions. Conducts moderately complex code and architecture reviews and resolves performance and scalability issues to improve products and services.

Responsible for the operation of production environments, including systems and databases, supporting critical business operations. Will perform administration and analysis for multiple production environments and recommend new and novel solutions to improve availability, performance, and supportability. This is an opportunity to bring a combination of deep technical knowledge with administration/analysis knowledge of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure to provide escalation support to a wide range of complex production environment problems related to immense growth, scaling, leveraging the cloud, extremely high performance, and high availability requirements.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Production Infrastructure:
-Maintains the production infrastructure, platforms, and services which support the growing client base as well as designs and implements highly scalable environments.
-Works independently with other teams in the organization and provides solutions for their needs.
-Designs and implements new, scalable solutions for fast changing environments with moderately complex needs in various fields (e.g., configuration deployments, monitoring, and logging) with oversight from senior team members.
Troubleshooting, Testing, and Improvements - Drilldown Analysis/Troubleshooting:
-Performs deep drill down analysis into production support operations and provides necessary fixes.
-Investigates errors, debugs source code and performance bottlenecks, and independently provides root cause analysis (RCA) if needed.
-Recommends changes to enhance troubleshooting processes.
Troubleshooting, Testing, and Improvements - Testing and Improvements:
-Builds and implements standard to moderately complex enhancements (e.g., automating alerts) and resolves complex defects.
-Globally works with cross functional teams to ensure service health with pre-production testing of new releases, post-change validation, and automation work to improve the testing.
-Monitors and brings in new ideas for the improvement of production infrastructure, platforms, and/or services.
-Creates user acceptance test plans.
System Design and Architecture - System Design:
-Works on the design, development, configuration, implementing, and/or deployment of enterprise supporting systems.
-Works with external or internal customers to implement large scale solutions, business process architecture, application system design, and implementation.
-Participates in stakeholders meetings for requirements gathering.
System Design and Architecture - System Architecture:
-Identifies solutions in experience of application or server architecture and networking.
-Collaborates with senior partners in the development of architecture standards and practices.
Product/Service Development:
-Independently collaborates on the design, development, and enhancement of new and existing products and services from inception and design through business feature requirements.
-Conducts moderately complex code and architecture reviews of the products and services.
-Resolves performance and scalability issues related to products and services.
-Identifies opportunities to improve health, scalability, and resiliency of products and services.

Builds and maintains a comprehensive understanding of business, stakeholder, and/or customer needs to build and support effective partnerships. -Independently identifies and addresses standard and non-standard issues in accordance with standard practices, escalating more complex issues as appropriate. Analyzes data and/or information from multiple sources to troubleshoot standard and non-standard errors. Contributes to knowledge sharing and best practices.

-Embraces continuous learning by actively seeking to build knowledge and new skills and/or tools, and staying current with industry trends and best practices. Install, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all production server hardware and software for our OCI Sovereign Cloud team. Provide escalated technical support for complex technical issues which may include leading problem management cases and providing management status. Coordinate escalated support cases and lead appropriate internal technical resources and/or third party vendors to resolution and coordinate a storage infrastructure of Oracle system and database appliances. Responsible for Oracle production environments; assist with server operating system and application upgrades, bug fixes, and patching; and work on standardization projects for both hardware and software under the Oracle technology stack while providing consistent system uptime as expected in a Cloud environment. Provide on-call support, on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,100 to $166,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
