Full Job Description
Summary of Position

The Senior Production Planner is responsible for the coordination of product flow, production scheduling, and optimizing operational capacity while maintaining cGMP compliance. This individual will act as a bridge between supply chain, manufacturing, and facility management.

Work Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00am 5:00pm

Essential Functions

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory targets, material availability, manufacturing capacity, and customer requirements.
  • Manage inventory control activities, including inventory analysis, forecasting, physical inventory processes, reconciliation, and inventory optimization initiatives.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Packaging, Facilities, Customer Service, and Marketing teams to ensure material readiness, product availability, and operational alignment.
  • Lead daily and weekly production planning meetings, communicate manufacturing priorities, and provide updates on production performance, customer orders, and service levels.
  • Conduct detailed capacity planning to identify constraints, assess production risks, and balance resources with forecasted demand through rolling production plans.
  • Coordinate site asset utilization and production activities, including planned and unplanned equipment downtime, maintenance, calibration schedules, and manufacturing support activities.
  • Analyze backorders, forecast variances, and service disruptions to identify root causes, develop recovery plans, and implement corrective actions that improve customer service and operational performance.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, production, quality, service, and financial performance while ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.).


Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field required. Work experience considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Five or more years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Cross functional experience interacting with Supply Chain and production.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of Infor XA or similar MRP System.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP and ISO practices.
  • Working knowledge or Lean and Six Sigma concepts or Certifications is desirable.
  • Ability to use project management skills to conduct effective meetings.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive problems to resolution.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to keep detailed records, attention to detail.
  • Able to analyze, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.


Working Conditions:
  • Willingness to work in plant producing radioactive materials and requiring all employees to participate in safety programs designed to minimize potential and/or actual exposure levels.
  • Responsibilities include the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, kneeling, crouching, twisting the upper body, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, must be able to physically negotiate stairs and evacuation ladders with or without accommodation, wear and operate safety equipment, enter vessels, and inspect equipment.
  • Material handling devices (e.g., hand truck, fork truck, and conveyors) are used when possible, however, use of proper lifting and movement techniques is necessary to prevent injury.
  • Must be willing to wear a variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and hearing protection as needed.
  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods of 8+ hours a day while performing duties.
  • Must possess good hand-eye coordination; close attention to detail is required.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to mechanical/moving parts, hazards including corrosive, flammable and toxic material, dust, dirt, odors, and irritants.
  • Willingness to complete safety training within allotted timeframes, and work in a team-based environment.
  • Must be able to work outside of regular work hours, including off shift, weekend, and holiday work as business needs require.
