We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team!
ResponsibilitiesRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the development and execution of Azure Compute initiatives by driving planning, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination of the Platform Infrastructure. Focus on resolving supply-related challenges, ensuring long-term capacity readiness for cloud services, and delivering efficiency improvements that strengthen business performance and margin outcomes.
- Engage with Microsoft cloud business units to define future hardware platform and system requirements and align recommendations for executive approval.
- Define and own platform roadmap and strategy that spans concept, POR, qualification, launch, and scale.
- Drive cross-org alignment through interlocks with members from various business units including software and hardware engineering and architecture, networking, datacenter infrastructure, finance, and supply chain management to build data-driven strategic frameworks for decision making.
- Identify and mitigate platform, schedule, and dependency risks early; drive trade-off decisions with clarity and data.
- Define success metrics and track execution against committed milestones
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred qualifications
- Deep understanding or prior experience in datacenter compute, storage or networking architecture
- Bachelors or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 3 years of Product Planning, Product Management or Strategic Planning experience in Data Center, Cloud Infrastructure or Computer Architecture domain
- 3 years or more experience in server architecture with relevant technologies such as microprocessors, accelerators, memory, storage or networking technologies
- Deep understanding of key technologies/ingredients such as Microprocessors, Memory, Storage, Networking, offload engines and/or accelerators
- Prior experience with Data Center HW Infrastructure
- Ability to map workload requirements to the right infrastructure solutions
- Understanding of how compute-centric workloads are transforming due to AI (training/inferencing)
- Ability to balance between technology, business, and strategy to inform roadmap decisions.
- Ability to drive alignment across stakeholders and influence cross-functional leadership to converge on decisions/recommendations that lead to tangible impact and transformation.
- Executive communication skills - the ability to present and lead discussions with leadership team and abstract details to communicate with clarity and relevance
- Proven customer obsession in prior roles where customer requirements were gathered and implemented into a product.
- Familiarity and previous experience developing programs through phase gate processes.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
