Full Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products, mobile applications, or mobile connectivity SDKs from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • Experience managing partnerships with external global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in mobile-to-device connectivity pipelines such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi Direct, and low-level communication SDKs.
  • Experience leading product management for consumer-facing iOS applications, with deep knowledge of Apple's developer frameworks, background processing APIs, local networking, and CoreBluetooth.
  • Experience guiding product direction and making decisions using data.
  • Familiarity with the unique constraints and design patterns of smart glasses, wearables, or connected IoT consumer electronics.
  • Track record of managing product compliance, working with external Apple certification laboratories, and navigating accessory program development gates.
  • Ability to build consensus and partner deeply with specialized engineering groups across software and hardware.

As the Product Manager for the iOS Platform for XR, you will lead the goal, roadmap, and execution of the iOS platform support for Google's next-generation XR devices. You will navigate technical and ecosystem issues on iOS, ensuring our wearable devices deliver seamless, uncompromised, and high-performance companion features on Apple devices while preserving battery life and respecting platform boundaries.

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the comprehensive product roadmap, technical specifications (PRDs), and connectivity architectures for the XR device's iOS experience and low-level connectivity Software Development Kit (SDKs) across their entire product life-cycle.
  • Lead the design and orchestration of cross-platform interfaces that deliver uncompromised feature on iOS host devices, ensuring cohesion across feature portfolio.
  • Navigate Apple's platform boundaries with high technical acumen, designing creative, high-performance, and resource-efficient companion solutions that respect iOS background execution limits, local network rules, and connection controls without impacting device battery life.
  • Drive end-to-end alignment and certification process with external Partners, platform compliance, hardware-software approvals, and accessory program clearance across all product development gates, serving as the trusted spokesperson for iOS compatibility.
