Overview

Who we're looking for

Toyota Financial Services' Enterprise Platform Technology department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Product Manager to lead our Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) team. ESS builds and operates the reusable platforms and services that power TFS's core business operations - from document management and intelligent processing to enterprise digital identity, tokenization, customer communications, and application building blocks. We eliminate fragmentation by delivering cloud-native, AI-enabled shared services that serve every TFS domain - Originations, Servicing, Banking, VPP, and beyond - so teams build faster, operate securely, and scale without reinventing the wheel. If you want to work on high-impact, enterprise-scale platforms that touch every line of business at one of the world's largest auto finance companies, ESS is where that work happens.

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to own product strategy, roadmap, and delivery for the ESS portfolio - including customer/visitor/dealer profile platforms, customer communications, document management, and NFR compliance - ensuring every shared service is adopted, measured, and continuously improving.

  • Reporting to the Product Director, the person in this role will support the Enterprise Platform Technology department's objective to deliver enterprise-grade, reusable platform capabilities that accelerate application delivery, reduce duplication, and strengthen security and compliance posture across Toyota Financial Services.

  • We're looking for someone who is obsessed with the customer, makes decisions with data, and moves with the urgency of a startup inside one of the world's most trusted brands. You think beyond your own domain - you actively look across domain lines to spot inconsistencies and dependencies before they become problems, then resolve them for the good of the whole product. If you've led product in a startup or early-stage environment and can navigate the needs of a large enterprise without losing speed, this is the role.

What you'll be doing

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, and prioritized backlog for the ESS portfolio

  • Define product vision, service scope, target consumers, success measures, and lifecycle expectations for each shared service - balancing enterprise-wide reuse with domain-specific needs.

  • Evaluate application team needs across Originations, Servicing, Banking, VPP, and other TFS domains, and translate them into product priorities, technical requirements, and adoption strategies.

  • Partner with engineering and architecture to define reusable platform capabilities - including API design, identity and access patterns, data tokenization schemes, profile data models, and communication channel integrations.

  • Serve as Product Owner for the delivery team: lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos/reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and related Agile ceremonies.

What you bring

  • Extensive experience in product management, technology implementations, or technical leadership, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise platform or shared-service products.

  • Direct experience with one or more of: data tokenization / encryption-at-field-level, digital identity and access management (CIAM/IAM), customer profile / master data platforms, or enterprise communication orchestration (email, SMS, push, print).

  • Deep knowledge of cloud-native application patterns - microservices, API gateways, event-driven architectures, secure software delivery, and infrastructure-as-code - with hands-on familiarity in AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to define and drive adoption of reusable service catalogs, internal developer platforms, or application building-block frameworks across multiple consuming teams.

  • Strong understanding of NFR (non-functional requirements) disciplines: security, reliability, scalability, observability, and regulatory compliance - and how to translate them into product requirements and platform guardrails.

  • Familiarity with the software delivery lifecycle, emerging technologies such as Generative AI and LLMs, and how to evaluate build-vs-buy-vs-adopt decisions for platform capabilities.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to leverage data, adoption metrics, and consumer feedback to drive prioritization.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills - able to articulate technical concepts to business leaders and business context to engineers.

Added bonus if you have

  • Experience building or managing PII tokenization / de-identification services in a regulated financial services or automotive finance environment.

  • Hands-on familiarity with identity platforms (e.g., Okta, ForgeRock, AWS Cognito, Ping) and identity standards (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, FIDO2).

  • Experience with customer data platforms (CDP) or unified profile systems spanning multiple customer types (customers, visitors, dealers, partners).

  • Background in omni-channel communication platforms (e.g., Twilio, AWS Pinpoint, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) including template management, preference/consent management, and delivery orchestration.

  • Product Owner or product management certification (CSPO, SAFe POPM, Pragmatic Institute, etc.).

What we'll bring

During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities. A few highlights include:
• A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility, and respect
• Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career, as well as tuition reimbursement
• Team Member Vehicle Purchase Discount
• Toyota Team Member Lease Vehicle Program (if applicable)
• Comprehensive health care and wellness plans for your entire family
• Toyota 401(k) Savings Plan featuring a company match, as well as an annual retirement contribution from Toyota regardless of whether you contribute (if applicable)
• Paid holidays and paid time off
• Referral services related to prenatal services, adoption, childcare, schools and more
• Tax Advantaged Accounts (Health Savings Account, Health Care FSA, Dependent Care FSA)
• Relocation assistance (if applicable)
