As our first Data PM, you will blend strong technical chops with stellar product management skills to transform our data into powerful insights for pilots, flight schools and partners. This role is central to our goal of making data a competitive advantage, and offers a unique opportunity to chart our analytics course from runway to takeoff, propelling the future of flight training.
Role Overview and Responsibilities: - Define and drive the company's data strategy, aligning it with overall business goals.
- Lead the ideation, development, and enhancement of data products, with the aim of delivering actionable insights to our ecosystem of customers and partners.
- Proactively identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics to drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.
- Create and maintain a product roadmap that leverages our unique data advantages while delivering exceptional customer and partner experiences.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, UX, and GTM teams to deliver innovative, high-quality data and insights solutions.
- Integrate intelligent capabilities (e.g., AI summaries, predictive alerts, trend detection) to elevate our data and insights offerings.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to advise on the design and implementation of a modern data architecture and the selection of appropriate technologies and tools.
- Champion a data-centric company culture, emphasizing data as a product, and lead by example in embracing continuous improvement and a keen focus on user experience to refine product offerings.
Required/Desired Experience:- A minimum of 5 years in a data product management role, with a proven track record of delivering insights tools, dashboards, and analytics features that drive business outcomes.
- Strong working knowledge of data infrastructure and tools (e.g., SQL, dbt, Snowflake, Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
- Comfort working closely with data engineers and analysts to define data models, metrics layers, and governance frameworks.
- An understanding of how AI can enhance analytics workflows (e.g., generative summaries, intelligent alerts, forecasting), and the judgement to implement AI responsibly.
- Exceptional communication skills, skilled at translating complex information across technical and non technical audiences.
- Intellectual curiosity, with the tenacity to probe deeply into problems, ask challenging questions, and harness creative tension to drive exceptional customer experiences and successful business outcomes.
Helpful, but Not Required Experience: - Experience using AI to accelerate product management workflows
- Aviation industry background or a passion for flight
- Advanced degree in data science, analytics, computer science, or business

Compensation: The salary range for this role has been established at
$165,000 - $190,000 annually. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, skills, prior work experience, competencies, and geographic work location. The above salary range represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Travel Requirements:- Occasional business travel may be required, up to 10%.
