Full Job Description
The Role
What are the main responsibilities for this role?
• Lead the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and consolidation of Crimson's core admission product line into a coherent, high-performing platform.
• Shift product paradigms from mere advice generation to full accountability-building intelligent systems that track, nudge, and measure student milestone completion across multi-channel touchpoints (App, WhatsApp, Email, Voice AI).
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership, global and regional leaders, and operational stakeholders to translate business goals into prioritized product roadmaps.
• Continuously explore and integrate emerging AI paradigms (LLMs, Agentic Workflows, automated Essay Review / QA, Prompt Architecture, synthetic evaluation) to 10x team efficiency and client outcomes.
• Define clear success metrics (adoption, cycle time reduction, SSM capacity uplift, CSAT) and replace superficial stats with rigorous, measurable business impact.
• Manage, coach, and level up associate and junior PMs. Establish best-in-class product discovery, PRD writing, user interview, and sprint delivery standards.
• Foster an outcome-driven culture that balances speed, engineering feasibility, UX polish, and deep empathy for non-technical users.
• Eliminate operational friction across tutor allocation, session invoicing, scheduling/calendar sync, and student progress tracking.
• Conduct regular qualitative interviews with families, strategists, and SSMs to identify unarticulated pain points and turn them into intuitive software solutions.
What skills and experience are required?
• 5+ years of Product Management experience, with a proven track record of shipping complex, multi-sided B2B2C platforms, SaaS tools, or workflow platforms.
• Exceptional Product Taste & Intuition: Demonstrated ability to turn messy, human-intensive processes into elegant, intuitive digital experiences.
• Proven Mentorship: Experience coaching, managing, or leading junior product managers and fostering team growth.
• Deep Understanding of Admissions Consulting: Strong grasp of US/UK holistic university admissions workflows, high-school extracurricular planning, essay ideation/review, and consulting service lifecycles.
• Consultant & Client Empathy: Ability to intuitively speak the language of high-caliber admissions strategists, former admissions officers (FAOs), and ambitious students/families.
• Hands-on AI Power User: Extensive daily experience leveraging modern AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Replit, Midjourney/v0, prompt engineering frameworks) in your own product discovery and prototyping workflows. Solid conceptual understanding of LLM capabilities, token cost/latency trade-offs, RAG/memory retrieval, and agent orchestration.
• Data-Driven Mindset: Fluent in SQL, Metabase/BI dashboards, funnel analytics, and A/B testing principles.
• Flawless Communication: Outstanding written and spoken English skills; ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs with clarity to executive leadership and global distributed teams. (Bilingual proficiency in Chinese/English is a strong plus).
