Full Job Description
About the Job:

The booking funnel is the most important moment in the diner journey - the point where intent becomes a reservation. OpenTable is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own that experience across apps (iOS and Android) and web (desktop and mobile web), from high-intent search and discovery through restaurant profile and checkout.

You'll set strategy against on-site conversion and cover yield, diagnose funnel friction with data, and ship experiences that are commercially sharp and genuinely delightful to use. This is a consumer product role that requires deep UI expertise and real technical depth: you'll work closely with engineers, designers, and data scientists on search, ranking, personalization, and checkout, and you'll be expected to debate UX, system design, and experiment design. The right candidate combines exceptional product sense and commercial instinct with the technical fluency to go deep with engineering.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the end-to-end conversion journey from diner intent to completed reservation, including search (list, map, and conversational), restaurant profile, checkout, and agentic booking.
  • Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for on-site conversion and booking economics, and be accountable for the outcomes
  • Diagnose funnel drop-off with quantitative and qualitative insight, then ship experiments that improve conversion without degrading diner trust or booking quality
  • Translate ambiguous diner problems into clear product requirements, including edge cases, instrumentation, and technical trade-offs that engineering can build against
  • Partner with engineering, design, data science, and research on ranking, and personalization as conversion levers
  • Navigate trade-offs between diner experience, restaurant value, and revenue, and communicate those trade-offs clearly to senior leadership
  • Lead a cross-functional team to ship across web and mobile apps at global scale, including coordination with teams in other time zones

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of product management experience owning consumer-facing B2C products (web and mobile) at scale.
  • Proven ownership of a conversion funnel or high-intent consumer journey (for example, search-to-book, browse-to-order, or checkout), with a metric you owned and moved
  • Experience with search, ranking, recommendations, or personalization as levers for conversion
  • Exceptional product sense: you have shipped user-facing experiences where you owned the UI/UX, the friction, and the conversion outcome, not just the roadmap
  • Technical and data fluency: you partner deeply with engineering on system design, data instrumentation, and experimentation; you can write a clear technical PRD; and you are comfortable with SQL or equivalent tools
  • Experience developing and executing product strategy, managing a roadmap, and leading end-to-end product development, including A/B testing and post-launch optimization
  • Experience leading cross-functional work with Engineering, Design, Data Science/Analytics, and Research
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a two-sided marketplace, travel, or local commerce environment
  • Ability to navigate complex trade-offs, manage competing priorities, and influence senior stakeholders

Benefits and Perks
  • Work from (almost) anywhere for up to 20 days per year
  • Focus on mental health and well-being:
    • Company-paid therapy sessions through SpringHealth
    • Company-paid subscription to Headspace
    • Annual company-wide week off a year - the whole team fully recharges (and returns without a pile-up of work!)
  • Paid parental leave
  • Generous paid vacation + time off for your birthday
  • Paid volunteer time
  • Focus on your career growth:
    • Development Dollars
    • Leadership development
    • Access to thousands of on-demand e-learnings
  • Travel Discounts
  • Employee Resource Groups
  • Free lunch 5 days per week
  • Beautiful office in the Empire State Building with lots of building amenities, such as a gym, multi-purpose room, in-building Starbucks, and more.

The best connections happen face-to-face, whether you're sitting down to dinner or having coffee with a coworker. That's why OpenTable has adopted a hybrid workplace model. This role aligns with that approach, with an expectation of coming into the office two days a week-giving employees the best of both worlds: in-person collaboration and flexibility.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this United States based role is $155,000 - $175,000USD.

We offer a competitive base salary and benefits including: health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave benefits. This role is eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.

Work Environment & Flexibility

At OpenTable, we pride ourselves on fostering a global and dynamic work environment. As a team member with us, you will benefit from a schedule tailored to accommodate a global workforce operating across multiple time zones. While the majority of your responsibilities may align with conventional business hours, there will be instances where you are expected to manage communications - via calls, Slack messages, or emails - outside of regular working hours to effectively collaborate with international colleagues, respond to restaurant partners, and/or address urgent matters. OpenTable will always abide by and consider local laws and regulations.
