Responsibilities• Own the strategy and roadmap for tool onboarding and governance, including registry experience for plugins, skills, connectors, and customer-supplied tool packages.
• Engage with customers to understand governance and compliance requirements and translate them into clear, prioritized product investments.
• Define granular governance controls for agent tools
• Deliver discovery and observability for unsanctioned/Shadow AI tools, giving customers visibility into tools operating outside sanctioned channels, along with usage and activity insights.
• Build governance capabilities for regulated and sovereign environments, including support for government cloud and runtime audit evidence for legal, security, and compliance stakeholders.
• Partner closely with the different product teams within Microsoft to have coherent tool governance and security solutions with a seamless and engaging experience.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
• OR equivalent experience.

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check:This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
- Product management experience on developer platforms, extensibility ecosystems, governance experiences, or compliance capabilities.
- Familiarity with the AI tooling ecosystem (agent extensibility, plugins, and connectors) or adjacent platform-governance domains.
- Experience delivering discovery, observability, or policy-enforcement features for enterprise customers.
- Familiarity with regulated and sovereign requirements such as government cloud, audit, and compliance evidence.
- Collaboration skills and clear written and verbal communication
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
