Full Job Description
As a Senior Product Designer focused on our flagship Date experience, you'll help reimagine what modern dating feels like: safe, intuitive, and deeply human. You'll partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, User Research, Data, and Content Design to solve meaningful problems through exceptional product experiences, balancing user empathy, commercial thinking, and outstanding design craft.

You'll take end-to-end ownership of meaningful areas of the Bumble Date experience, from identifying opportunities and framing problems through to delivering polished, high-quality solutions. You'll be a trusted design partner who brings clarity to complexity, raises the quality of work through collaboration, and models Bumble's values of Respect, Curiosity, and Joy in everything you do.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end design of one or more significant product areas within Bumble Date, leading work from discovery and problem definition through interaction design, visual execution, prototyping, testing, and launch.
  • Shape intuitive user journeys and interaction models grounded in research, behavioral insight, and a deep understanding of what Bumble members need, expect, and value.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, User Researchers, Engineers, Data Partners, and Content Designers to define opportunities, validate hypotheses, and iterate based on qualitative insights and quantitative evidence.
  • Create thoughtful, high-quality visual and interaction design that brings clarity to complex problems, paying equal attention to overall experience architecture and the details that make products feel effortless.
  • Contribute to and evolve Bumble's design system by championing scalable patterns, accessibility, consistency, and inclusive design across the Bumble ecosystem.
  • Apply AI-powered tools responsibly to accelerate exploration, enhance accessibility, streamline design workflows, and support more personalized experiences, while exercising sound judgment and ethical decision-making.
  • Contribute actively to design critiques, share feedback with clarity and care, and help foster a collaborative culture that values curiosity, continuous learning, and exceptional craft.
  • Model Bumble's core competencies by collaborating with purpose, taking ownership, adapting with agility, and consistently delivering outcomes from insight through to impact, while embodying our values of Courage, Respect, and Joy.

About You

  • You're an experienced end-to-end product designer with a proven track record of delivering thoughtful, high-quality mobile product experiences from ambiguity through to launch.
  • You bring strong product thinking, framing problems before jumping to solutions, connecting design decisions to user and business outcomes, and thinking in systems as confidently as you think about individual screens.
  • You demonstrate exceptional visual design, interaction design, and prototyping craft, producing work that is polished, purposeful, and grounded in a deep understanding of human-centered design.
  • You bring rigor to your design process, combining research, experimentation, prototyping, and iteration to solve complex product challenges with clarity and confidence.
  • You balance user empathy with commercial pragmatism, knowing when to advocate for the ideal experience and when to make thoughtful trade-offs that maximize impact.
  • You're highly proficient in Figma and modern prototyping tools, using them not only to communicate ideas but to explore, validate, and refine solutions.
  • You have a strong understanding of inclusive design principles, accessibility standards, and designing for a global audience across different cultures, needs, and contexts.
  • You're curious about AI's role in product design and confidently use AI-enabled tools to improve your workflow while applying critical thinking, ethical judgment, and human-centered decision-making.
  • You build trusted cross-functional relationships, communicate with clarity, take ownership of outcomes, and positively influence the quality of work through collaboration and thoughtful feedback.
  • Typically requires 5-8 years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills.

Kind, curious, and low-ego designers thrive at Bumble. If you're excited to shape how people around the world form relationships and find belonging, we'd love to hear from you.
