Your New Role...

CNN Business is hiring a senior producer to create newsy, compelling and engaging video for its business and media team. In this role, you will shoot, craft and edit. You will help us decide which stories are best told on video. The position requires proficiency in field shooting and editing, as well as creative story generation and original series execution. Experience with business, finance or economic stories is a plus but not required.

Your Role Accountabilities...
  • Lead creative development and editorial execution of ambitious video projects.
  • Write scripts thinking about visuals, pacing and tone to ensure content is distinctive, accurate and engaging.
  • Develop and lead longform projects, serialized formats, or high-priority video initiatives across platforms.
  • Translate editorial goals and audience insights into compelling video treatments that meet brand and journalistic standards.
  • Produce multi-part projects or story treatments simultaneously, with the ability to flex between complex longform content and more quick-turn shortform.
  • Create and monitor production schedules and budgets to ensure timely, current and cost-effective content.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with design, tech, audience development, and product to deliver content aligned with audience strategy.
  • Experiment with format, tone, and visual treatment to evolve storytelling craft.

  • Can work with A-level talent
  • Demonstrated technical and creative expertise in editing and producing, including but not limited to the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Thorough understanding of video production workflow, and proficiency in file-based production environments.
  • Proven editorial judgment and knowledge of editorial functions such as story pitching, field production, shot selection and scripting, as well as managing and adapting to the continually developing technologies driving the industry.
  • Must be agile and adaptable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, technical production, or relevant professional work experience.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $91,140.00 - $169,260.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
