About the Role:
We're seeking a detail-oriented
Senior Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic Purchasing team. In this role, you'll drive continuous improvement in the buying process, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and support multiple facilities. What You'll Do:
- Review, execute, and enter purchase orders based on MRP requirements.
- Develop sourcing strategies using spend analysis, market dynamics, and category intelligence to optimize cost, quality, and service.
- Expedite deliveries, resolve shortages, and communicate outcomes to production and management.
- Negotiate complex contracts and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Manage RMAs for rejected materials and drive corrective actions for quality issues.
- Analyze data to identify issues and implement creative, effective solutions.
- Partner with Quality and Strategic Sourcing to drive continuous improvement and execute supplier strategies.
- Research invoice discrepancies and resolve variances with suppliers.
- Implement changes from ECNs/ECOs and manage transitions or end-of-life activities.
- Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with MRP systems.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build lasting supplier relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable steps.
- APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) preferred.
- Prior supply chain experience is a plus.
