RESPONSIBILITIES:- Drive complex process designs, simulations, and documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, material balances) in compliance with industry standards and TRI's quality management system.
- Act as primary checker for junior and intermediate deliverables, rigorously verifying calculations and design parameters to ensure technical and safety integrity.
- Align process requirements seamlessly with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders across all project phases.
- Identify and troubleshoot complex operational bottlenecks, edge cases, and safety risks using sound theoretical and practical engineering principles.
- Mentor junior engineers and EITs, actively facilitating knowledge transfer and supporting their professional growth.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's Degree in Process or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university
- Registered with APEGA, or registered with the provincial body as an engineer in another province in Canada, and eligible for registration with APEGA as a P.Eng.
- 8+ years of overall process engineering experience, with at least 5 years of experience in an EPCM environment
- Documented capability to apply core chemical engineering principles, codes, standards, and TRI's QMS to complex design work.
- Track record of independent problem-solving, peer review, and the behavioral attributes required for technical anchoring and mentorship.
All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, be a resident, and residing in Calgary or be willing to relocate to Calgary, to be considered for the position.
