Senior Process Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive complex process designs, simulations, and documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, material balances) in compliance with industry standards and TRI's quality management system.
  • Act as primary checker for junior and intermediate deliverables, rigorously verifying calculations and design parameters to ensure technical and safety integrity.
  • Align process requirements seamlessly with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders across all project phases.
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex operational bottlenecks, edge cases, and safety risks using sound theoretical and practical engineering principles.
  • Mentor junior engineers and EITs, actively facilitating knowledge transfer and supporting their professional growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Process or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Registered with APEGA, or registered with the provincial body as an engineer in another province in Canada, and eligible for registration with APEGA as a P.Eng.
  • 8+ years of overall process engineering experience, with at least 5 years of experience in an EPCM environment
  • Documented capability to apply core chemical engineering principles, codes, standards, and TRI's QMS to complex design work.
  • Track record of independent problem-solving, peer review, and the behavioral attributes required for technical anchoring and mentorship.
