What you will enjoy doing*- You will provide technical, project, and troubleshooting support for process control systems across LGUS Hydrogen and Carbon Monoxide (HYCO) operations
- Support monitoring and control systems for Steam Methane Reforming (SMR), Autothermal Reformer (ATR), and Air Separation Unit (ASU) facilities nationwide
- Collaborate with Linde Engineering Americas (LEA) and cross-functional teams to deliver compliant and efficient project outcomes
- Further, you will plan, support, and implement control system upgrades to prevent obsolescence and improve reliability
- Serve as a technical lead, providing guidance and support to engineering, maintenance, and operations personnel
- Develop and implement advanced process control improvements to resolve recurring and complex operational issues
- You will provide support for control system hardware/software, instrumentation, and process optimization across field teams
- Support training, troubleshooting, environmental compliance, and root cause analysis (RCA) activities and contribute to preventive and corrective maintenance of advanced process control systems
- Also you will ensure all control system changes follow Management of Change (MOC) protocols
- Participate in long-range capital planning, forecasting, and control system lifecycle management
- Support cybersecurity practices and implementation for industrial control systems
- Develop, update, and execute functional test procedures
- Ensure new systems and equipment meet Linde standards and specifications
- Provide off-hours support to resolve critical control system issues as needed
- Apply expertise in SRS (Safety Requirements Specifications), SIL (Safety Integrity Levels), and ISA84 standards
- Demonstrate strong project management, independent decision-making, and collaboration skills with a focus on safety, cost, and operational efficiency.
- Travel up to 25% to support operations across U.S. locations.
What makes you great - You hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or ten (10) years or more experience in Control Systems or Computer Related Field
- Minimum of five (5) years of chemical industry experience
- You have knowledge of Process Automation including design/implementation of complex control strategies
- Advanced understanding of continuous chemical processes
- You have working knowledge of primary instrumentation
- Proficiency with schematic wiring diagrams
- Proficiency with process control content of P&I diagrams
- Experience with managing Control System Upgrades
