Full Job Description
Savan is looking for a strong Senior Privacy Analyst with significant expertise in privacy and security process analysis to work with program officials to support their submission of various privacy compliance documentation to federal sub-agency. The Privacy Analyst/SME will be client-facing and a critical part of our delivery team who brings the necessary experience in consulting on privacy activities across all aspects of an agency's privacy program. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with senior-level management, providing program implementation support, and making verbal and in-writing recommendations for process improvement. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate to a variety of audiences and develop compelling recommendations and supporting documentation.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, review, and update privacy compliance documentation in coordination with program officials for review and approval by the federal agency and ultimately the Department-level Privacy Office
  • Privacy documentation requiring development and/or revisions includes:
  • Privacy Threshold Analyses
  • Privacy Impact Assessments
  • Information Sharing Access Agreements
  • Systems of Records Notice
  • Assessments of planned surveys and information collections under the Paperwork Reduction Act
  • Serve as a liaison between program officials and the agency privacy branch to facilitate the timely preparation and approval of privacy compliance documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 8 years of experience in a consulting environment with a federal client-facing focus.
  • 5 years of experience directly related to privacy and security operations, including enforcement of thePrivacy Act, the E-Government Act, and the Federal Information Management Security Act
  • One-year experience supervising an on-site team
  • Experience developing, conducting, and improving privacy impact assessments in large organizations.
  • Experience communicating privacy risks and mitigations to system owners and administrators.
  • Experience developing and documenting business process improvement documentation, gap analyses, and risk management artifacts.
  • Experience implementing tools and frameworks to support clients' future-state business initiatives.
  • Experience writing reports, briefings, and decks and presenting them to clients in a way that is professional and influential.
  • Experience building relationships with senior-level federal officials and performing subsequent stakeholder management.
  • Ability to complete individual tasks effectively, work in a team environment, and be proactive with little guidance.
  • Ability to think critically and analyze a wide variety of complex problems.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • US citizenship

Preferred Qualifications
  • CertifiedInformation Privacy Professional (CIPP)certification
  • Law or another Advanced Degree
  • Detailed understanding of emerging privacy trends, tools, and legislative developments
  • Experience implementing Privacy by Design into information systems.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Google Sites, Microsoft Project, Slack, JIRA, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planner, etc.
