Ultra Mission Solutions delivers secure computing, advanced communications, and Field Engineering/Support solutions engineered for the most demanding environments. Our work is primarily focused on airborne, rugged, and contested operational settings - where mission success depends on precision, reliability, and innovative systems engineering. At Ultra Mission Solutions, you will contribute directly to cutting-edge aerospace programs that matter.
We are seeking an experienced Senior SEIT Engineer to join our systems engineering and business development team. In this role, you will partner closely with customers and internal stakeholders throughout the full system engineering lifecycle - from early feasibility assessment through design, integration, and test verification. You will play a pivotal role in shaping technically sound solutions that meet rigorous aerospace standards.

The Senior SEIT Engineer will lead and support the following activities:
  • Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate technical approaches and inform solution architecture decisions
  • Develop and refine Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) in collaboration with customer stakeholders
  • Support Business Development efforts to include customer technical exchanges and leadership briefings
  • Define, manage, and baseline system and subsystem requirements and specifications
  • Lead system design and prototype development activities, ensuring technical integrity across all phases
  • Develop Integration Plans and Checklists to support disciplined, traceable integration execution
  • Execute component, subsystem, and system-level integration activities
  • Provide Systems Engineering inputs to Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports to verify compliance with system requirements


Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and/or equivalent years of experience
  • Must have or be able to obtain a US Security Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience conducting feasibility studies and translating findings into actionable system concepts
  • Proficiency in developing Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) for complex aerospace or defense systems
  • Strong background in authoring, managing, and baselining system and subsystem requirements and specifications
  • Familiarity with systems documentation standards and configuration management practices
  • Hands-on experience with system and subsystem integration activities at the component, subsystem, and system levels
  • Ability to develop and execute Integration Plans and test verification artifacts
  • Knowledge of test planning methodologies and experience contributing to Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports
  • Experience with Jira, DOORS, and Microsoft Office


Preferred Skills:
  • Background in communications systems and Tactical Data Links (TDL).
  • Experience in Aircraft and Ground System Integration in a field Environment.
  • Experience with VPX Air Transport Rack (ATR) Chassis and Module Design, Development and Integration.
  • Familiar with ANSI/VITA, Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA), Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) methods, approaches and standards.
  • Familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) process and associated tools.
