Job Overview:

The Senior Principal Marine Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in both project execution and commercial bidding activities by providing expert support and leadership. The position involves overseeing pipeline welding qualification strategies, material selection and engineering, front end procurement activities, ensuring execution readiness, and supporting fabrication, marine, and offshore operations.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Supporting tendering, estimating, and bid evaluations
  • Ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and certifying authority requirements
  • Driving innovation in production processes, automation, and materials
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and technical support to operations and project management teams
  • Review, approve, and manage procedures in coordination with clients and certifying authorities
  • Select materials, participate in vendor audits and selection, support project execution until completion
  • Support tendering activities, including cost estimation, productivity analysis, and technical reviews
  • Provide execution support across fabrication, marine, and offshore phases, including performance monitoring and quality assurance
  • Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production and material issues
  • Drive development and implementation of mechanized/automated production and participate in R&D initiatives
  • Manage training programs, competency development, and mentoring of marine personnel
  • Ensure compliance with QHSES requirements and promote safe working practices


Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering preferably metallurgy or mechanical, or related field
