What Your Job Will Be LikeAre you passionate about working in a high functioning, inter-disciplinary, collaborative team in facilities space management? If so, we are seeking a highly motivated Facilities Technologist to join our Integrated Space Solutions (ISS) team!
In this role, you will assist the team by providing technical, analytical, and in-field validation support as needed. You will participate in large scale data cleanup and reconciliation efforts for building space data. Partnering with space management peers, IT organizations on database upgrades, process improvements, and changes that support ISS maintaining accurate space data.
On any given day, you may be called on to support ISS by:
- Assisting in the organization of space data quality, enhancements and reconciliations.
- Generate floorplans from space database for walk through validations.
- Utilize Excel extensively to create reports and merge data sets for analysis and data reconciliation.
- Ability to manage a variety of tasks that vary from in field walks to detailed data analysis.
- Perform regular field verifications of physical space to field verify actual conditions with database records.
- Coordinate the setup, moves, space allocation changes, and decommissioning of touchdown spaces.
- Organize the ordering of computers, peripherals, office supplies, as well as tracking inventory through weekly field verification.
- Conduct in-field validations of global touchdown spaces twice a week, ensuring that equipment meets operational standards with updated signage that provides a consistent user experience.
- Manage Outlook calendars for touchdown spaces, this includes creating, deconflicting, and decommissioning calendars.
- Assist in tracking and verification of the status of building spaces identified as unutilized to support the annual building utilization reporting to DOE.
- Serve as back up support for the Space Solutions Center, a call center for immediately actionable space requests as well as support for the space high security waitlist process.
- Oversee and maintain the integrity of space management data, including room assignments relating to employee moves, room contacts, uncleared new hires space assignments and resource allocation, while collaborating with various teams to ensure accuracy and resolve inconsistencies.
The selected applicant can work a combination of onsite and offsite work. The selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.Salary Range$63,800 - $123,400
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require- High school diploma plus three (3) or more years of space management-related experience or experience working for a facilities organization; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOE Q-level security clearance.
Qualifications We Desire- Knowledge of Sandia's facility and operational policies, practices, and procedures.
- Experience or familiarity with GIS system software and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with creating reports in Excel, such as pivot tables and Power BI.
- Experience or familiarity with BOMA, or similar space standards.
- Ability to exercise initiative as well as the foresight to manage and complete multiple priorities.
- Experience with spatial analysis of floor plan layouts.
- Ability to clearly communicate the status of policies, reports, decisions and current work.
- Background in facilities management, space planning, or corporate real estate.
