In this position...

The Marketing team sits within Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) and is responsible for managing the service part's lifecycle and customer journey. The focus of the Pricing team is on product strategy derived from monitoring the aftermarket competition, maintaining financial profitability and focusing on customer requirements. This team interacts across the Ford ecosystem and partners closely with the Finance and Product Category Management (PCM) team.

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented senior Business Analyst to join our Mechanical Pricing team. This role will play a critical part in optimizing pricing strategies for FCSD's aftermarket mechanical parts, contributing to profitability and market share. The Business Analyst will be responsible for in-depth data analysis, supporting pricing initiatives, and collaborating with various cross-functional teams to ensure competitive and effective pricing.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Pricing Analysis & Implementation: Contribute to the development and execution of the Annual Cycle Plan for Mechanical Parts by conducting thorough pricing analysis, validation, and support the implementation of new pricing strategies.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Acquire, analyze, and review competitive pricing data to identify market trends and inform strategic decisions.
  • Strategy Development Support: Support the development and ongoing updates of pricing strategies for individual mechanical product lines, ensuring alignment with market dynamics and business objectives.
  • Performance & Profitability Review: Analyze product performance and profitability within each pricing cycle, identifying areas for optimization and reporting findings.
  • Market Deep Dives: Execute deep dives into product positioning and relevant market segments based on requests from Product Category Managers (PCMs) and identified business needs.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present key pricing insights, performance metrics, and analytical findings to management, highlighting major actions, critical decisions, and adherence to plans.
  • Discount Analysis: Assist the Product Sales team with detailed discount analysis and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Special Projects: Contribute to broader commodity team initiatives and special projects related to price positioning, business plan development, responses to significant external market changes, and evaluation of pricing effectiveness.
  • Process Modernization: Assist in the modernization of pricing processes, data handling methodologies, exploration of AI applications, and strategic product positioning to maximize profitability and market share.

Qualifications

Minimum
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting business, marketing, or aftermarket-focused functions through data-driven insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex, business-facing datasets (sales, parts, pricing, customer, warranty, service, etc.) to inform strategy and operational decisions.
  • Solid working knowledge of aftermarket concepts, including parts, service, lifecycle, pricing, customer retention, or channels (dealer, distributor, e-commerce).
  • Knowledge in MS Office Suite executive, Power BI, Alteryx
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex analytical findings and present to various stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Experience in handling large-scale data, conducting market research, and generating comprehensive reports
  • Proven ability to be proactive, work independently, and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

This position is a range of salary grades 7-8 and ranges from $84,480-162,120.
