Job Summary
We are seeking a senior-level resource with deep expertise in Precisely Connect CDC (formerly SQData) and supporting IBM Db2 for z/OS environments. This role focuses on configuring, administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting CDC replication between mainframe Db2 systems and downstream cloud/distributed platforms. The position will support CDC implementation, production troubleshooting, replication recovery, and onboarding of new applications into the CDC environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Configure replication for new applications and enable CDC for existing applications.
• Manage source-to-target replication configurations and support onboarding of new data feeds.
• Investigate replication failures, latency issues, missing transactions, and source-to-target data discrepancies.
• Review CDC logs and error messages and support recovery and restart activities.
• Access Db2 tables and logs and execute Db2 commands required for CDC setup and troubleshooting.
• Analyze transaction activity impacting replication.
• Support authorization and credential-related issues associated with CDC.
• Troubleshoot CDC-related Db2 issues and support source table and replication configurations.
• Support replication environments as additional applications are onboarded to the CDC platform.

Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with Precisely Connect CDC, formerly SQData.
• Strong experience with IBM Db2 for z/OS.
• Experience working in mainframe and z/OS environments.
• Experience with change capture and log-based replication.
• Experience with publisher components, apply processing, and CDC transaction storage.
• Experience with source/target configuration and replication recovery and restart processes.
• Ability to locate and review Db2 logs.
• Ability to execute Db2 commands for CDC setup and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of transaction processing and its impact on CDC replication.
• Experience troubleshooting CDC-related Db2 issues.
• Experience working with source tables and replication configurations.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with IBM IDR.
• Experience with Q Replication (QRep).
• Experience with SQL Replication.
