A Snapshot of Your Day

Join us as a Senior Power Systems Consultant and help shape the future of North America's electric grid! In this dynamic role, you will lead technically challenging projects that encompass transmission planning, grid interconnection, HVDC systems, renewable integration, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and hyperscale data center developments. You will collaborate with utilities, developers, ISOs, TSOs, and industrial customers to tackle complex power system challenges while working alongside some of the industry's leading experts.

As a trusted advisor, you will blend advanced technical expertise with strong consulting and communication skills to deliver practical solutions that enhance grid reliability, resiliency, and sustainability. Your contributions will directly influence critical infrastructure investments and support the ongoing energy transition.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Lead and execute advanced power system studies that support transmission planning, generation interconnection, grid modernization initiatives, and large-scale infrastructure projects, including HVDC, FACTS, renewable energy, BESS, and data center interconnections.
  • Perform detailed power system analyses, including load flow, short-circuit, transient and voltage stability, protection coordination, transfer capability, and dynamic performance assessments.
  • Conduct electromagnetic transient (EMT) studies, focusing on switching transients, harmonics, transient recovery voltage (TRV), insulation coordination, and power quality assessments.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, guiding interconnection processes and facilitating successful engagements with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, developers, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Lead multidisciplinary and multicultural project teams, ensuring successful project execution, quality delivery, customer satisfaction, and strong consulting outcomes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and consultants while contributing to proposal development, technical strategy, business growth, and thought leadership initiatives.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; advanced degree in Power Systems Engineering preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience performing transmission-level power system studies and analyses.
  • Expertise in load flow, short-circuit, transient/voltage stability, and transmission planning studies.
  • Experience with generator interconnection, system impact, and grid compliance studies within North American utility and ISO/RTO environments.
  • Proficiency with industry-leading tools such as PSS®E, PSCAD™, PowerFactory, PSLF, ASPEN, and/or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated success leading customer-facing consulting projects and providing technical leadership on complex grid modernization, renewable integration, HVDC, and BESS initiatives.
