The opportunity

We are seeking a Power Platform technical lead at the AI Centre of Excellence (COE) within the Office of the Chief Technology Offer at EY to deliver robust enterprise and customer-facing applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies. This role is focused on solution delivery-building scalable, innovative solutions across Canvas and Model-driven Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI services.

You will work on designing and developing solutions end-to-end leveraging the full capabilities of Power Platform, using pro-code modules when possible to deliver exceptional user-experience features.

Your key responsibilities
  • Create technical solution designs and perform peer code reviews.
  • Create technical design documents (TDD)
  • Developing User Interfaces: Design and implement user-friendly web pages using Power Apps (code apps) and Power Pages using React.js and Typescript, considering aspects like responsiveness and accessibility.
  • Integrating APIs: Connect the front-end UI with back-end services via RESTful APIs to fetch, display, and manipulate data.
  • Experience working with the several types of Dataverse tables (standard, elastic, virtual, etc.), with knowledge of Dataverse add-ons
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize the web application for speed and efficiency. This includes lazy loading, code splitting, and optimizing assets.
  • Authentication and Authorization: Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms to protect the application and user data, using Power Platform built-in role-based access control and authentication system.
  • Server-Side Logic: Write clean, modular, and reusable code that defines the business logic of the application using Power Automate or Server Logic.
  • Version Control: Manage code versions, branching strategies, pull request reviews, and collaborate with other developers using Git.
  • Testing: Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and reduce bugs. Implement testing frameworks and practice Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Deployment: Deploy applications on Power Platform environments
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub actions for automated testing, building, and deployment processes on Power P.
  • Leverage emerging AI capabilities, including Copilot Studio (multi-agent orchestration, plugins/actions, grounding) and Azure AI Foundry, and begin to apply Agentic
  • AI approaches to create adaptive, intelligent solutions. Assess AI readiness for clients including data governance, compliance, and infrastructure prerequisites for deploying Copilot and autonomous agent.

Skills and attributes for success

Thorough working knowledge of:
  • React.js: Proficient at using React.js and Typescript for front-end development.
  • Power Apps (Canvas Apps): Proficiency building canvas apps with components, responsive layouts, formulas, collections, delegation-aware querying, performance tuning, and accessibility best practices. Experience building using classic canvas and code apps.
  • Power Apps (Model-driven Apps): Experience configuring model-driven apps, including sitemap/navigation, forms, views, charts, command bar behaviors, and data-driven UX patterns.
  • Power Automate (Cloud Flows): Designing automated, instant, and scheduled flows; approvals; error handling; retries; parallelism; concurrency control; and connector usage patterns across M365 and line-of-business systems.
  • Power Automate (Desktop / RPA): Understanding attended/unattended automation concepts, desktop flow design, orchestration from cloud flows, and operational considerations for desktop automation.
  • Power BI (Reports + Semantic Models): Building reports and dashboards, working with datasets/semantic models, and integrating BI into platform solutions.
  • Copilot Studio (formerly Power Virtual Agents): Building conversational agents, integrating with actions (flows), and grounding on enterprise data sources when applicable.
  • Power Pages: Building external-facing websites that sit on Dataverse, including data-driven pages and secure access pattern, using Power Pages SPA and Server logic to enhance user experiences, security and performance.
  • Dataverse: Designing and deploying data models using the different types of Dataverse tables as needed. Build Dataverse add-ons for complex data processing requirements.

Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
