Job OverviewMilestone Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Power Platform & Copilot Solutions Lead to design, build, and evolve a connected ecosystem of business applications, automation, data, and AI solutions supporting our operational teams.
This is not simply a Power Apps development role. We are looking for someone who can understand how work is performed, identify opportunities for improvement, translate operational challenges into clear requirements, and design scalable end-to-end solutions.
The successful candidate will work across areas such as workforce management, safety, training, change management, operational workflows, process compliance, knowledge management, productivity, reporting, and AI-powered employee support.
The goal is to create a connected digital ecosystem where Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, SharePoint, Copilot Studio, enterprise data, and AI agents work together, rather than developing isolated applications. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to deliver scalable business solutions, establish sustainable Power Platform standards, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate adoption of modern automation and AI capabilities across client engagements.
Key Responsibilities- Design and evolve a scalable Power Platform ecosystem that promotes reuse, standardization, governance, and operational efficiency across multiple client engagements.
- Lead end-to-end solution delivery from initial discovery and requirements gathering through architecture, development, testing, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Work directly with operational leaders, SMEs, frontline employees, analysts, and technical teams to understand business challenges and translate them into practical digital solutions.
- Lead requirements and process discovery sessions, asking the right questions to identify the underlying problem rather than simply digitizing an existing process.
- Design and develop scalable solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, APIs, and Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Develop mobile and web applications that simplify operational work and reduce unnecessary manual activity.
- Design workflow automation covering approvals, notifications, escalations, task management, process controls, and system integration.
- Create scalable data models and integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise systems and data sources.
- Design Power BI reporting and operational insights as part of the overall solution architecture.
- Establish reusable components, development standards, environment strategy, security, governance, and application lifecycle management practices.
- Lead UAT, pilot deployments, user feedback, go-live support, and continuous application improvement.
- Serve as the technical lead for Power Platform solution delivery, establishing standards, reviewing designs, and ensuring consistency across the application portfolio.
- Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies and identify practical opportunities to improve how operational teams work.
Copilot & AI Agent Solutions- Design, develop, deploy, and continuously improve enterprise Copilot agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- Create agents that allow employees to interact naturally with SOPs, training materials, safety guidance, policies, operational procedures, and other approved enterprise knowledge.
- Connect Copilot agents with SharePoint, Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, APIs, and other enterprise systems.
- Build agents capable of both answering questions and performing actions such as creating requests, initiating workflows, directing users to applications, or escalating issues.
- Design escalation paths when an agent cannot confidently answer a question, or when available documentation does not sufficiently define the process.
- Establish standards around agent instructions, knowledge sources, permissions, authentication, testing, accuracy, security, analytics, governance, and responsible AI.
- Identify opportunities where AI agents can improve onboarding, training, process execution, knowledge access, and employee support.
- Ensure Copilot agents operate as part of the wider Power Platform ecosystem rather than as standalone chatbots.
Experience We Are Looking For- 7+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise business applications, workflow automation solutions, digital workplace solutions, or business process transformation initiatives.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Strong experience with Power BI, Dataverse, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
- Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end solutions, from requirement discovery through production deployment.
- Strong experience leading business and technical requirements discussions.
- Ability to independently engage with stakeholders, understand operational problems, challenge assumptions, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Strong understanding of relational data models, SQL, APIs, JSON, connectors, and enterprise integration.
- Experience designing scalable Power Platform architecture rather than individual standalone applications.
- Understanding of security, environment management, governance, deployment, and application lifecycle management.
- Experience designing intuitive user experiences for operational or frontline teams.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership through solution ownership, technical decision-making, mentoring, or project leadership.
Copilot & AI ExperienceExperience with the following is strongly preferred:
- Microsoft Copilot Studio
- Enterprise AI agents
- Generative AI and knowledge-grounded solutions
- SharePoint and Dataverse knowledge integration
- Power Automate actions from Copilot
- API-connected agents
- Conversational experience design
- Agent security and permissions
- AI testing and evaluation
- Responsible AI and governance
Preferred Qualifications- Microsoft Power Platform certifications such as PL-400 or PL-600.
- Experience with SQL Server and enterprise data environments.
- Experience integrating HR, workforce management, logistics, safety, or other enterprise operational systems.
- Experience with Azure services, APIs, and custom connectors.
- Experience in operationally intensive environments such as logistics, data centers, manufacturing, field services, or warehousing.
- Experience with Lean, continuous improvement, process engineering, or business process design is highly desirable.
What Will Make You Successful- You are someone who does not wait for perfectly written requirements.
- You are comfortable entering an operational environment, talking to the people performing the work, understanding their challenges, and helping determine what the right solution should be.
- You can move between a process discussion, technical architecture session, frontline user conversation, and hands-on development.
- You think beyond individual applications and understand how people, process, data, automation, analytics, and AI connect together.
- Most importantly, you take ownership of a problem and can turn an early idea into a scalable solution that people actually use.
