Full Job Description
Senior Power Generation Technical Specialist Base Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 Health Insurance: 100% employer-paid for you + your dependents Location: Remote Schedule: Remote $130,000-$142,000 in compensation with base salary + employer-paid family health coverage alone, before PTO, retirement and other benefits. Youll work alongside Electrical Engineers and highly experienced Field Service Veterans, supporting technicians working on mission-critical generators, ATS equipment, switchgear, controls and paralleling systems. What Youll Do 3 Serve as a senior escalation point for difficult technical cases 3 Work directly with Field Service Engineers during active troubleshooting 3 Diagnose complex generator, engine, controls, ATS, switchgear and paralleling issues 3 Provide real-time support using schematics, fault histories, controller data, photos, video and remote diagnostic tools 3 Interpret one-lines, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation and technical documentation 3 Own escalated cases through resolution and coordinate with OEMs, vendors and engineering resources 3 Identify root causes, recurring failures and troubleshooting trends 3 Coach technicians and strengthen technical capability across the field organization 3 Occasionally provide onsite support for highly complex troubleshooting or commissioning 3 Strictly follow and enforce OSHA, NFPA 70E, and all applicable safety regulations for electrical safe work practices. Technical Background Were looking for someone with strong experience across the mechanical and electrical sides of power generation, including: 3 Diesel and gaseous generators 3 Commercial and Industrial engines 3 Electronic engine control, fuel systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and all associated controls 3 Generator alternators and excitation systems 3 AC/DC electrical systems (LV and MV) 3 Generator Controls 3 CAT, Cummins, Kohler (Relkoh), Generac, Basler, ComAp, Deep Sea, DEIF 3 Automatic transfer switch controls 3 ASCO, ABB, GE Zenith, Russelelectric 3 Low- and medium-voltage paralleling and distribution switchgear 3 Paralleling Controls (synchronization, voltage control, governor control, load management) 3 PLCs and industrial controls 3 GE Fanuc 90-30, RX3i, hardware (and Proficy PME Software) 3 Schneider Modicon Quantum, Premium, TSX, M340, etc. hardware (and EcoStruxure software). 3 Electrical one-lines, risers, schematics, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic 3 Auxiliary equipment integration (communications including ModBus RTU, TCP/IP). General knowledge including: 3 Circuit breakers and trip units 3 ANSI Protective relays 3 Basler, Schweitzer, ABB 3 Power distribution and circuit protection 3 Station Batteries and charging systems Qualifications 3 5+ years of power generation, industrial electrical, controls, engine or related field-service experience preferred 3 Strong hands-on troubleshooting background 3 Ability to diagnose complex failures logically and methodically 3 Ability to guide experienced technicians through difficult troubleshooting remotely 3 Strong communication and technical documentation skills 3 Multi-OEM experience is a plus 3 Technical or engineering degree preferred, but advanced field experience is valuable 3 Commonsense problem-solving mindset 3 Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $115,000-$125,000 LionHeart provides 100% employer-paid health insurance for you and your dependents, valued at approximately $22,000 per year.
