Job DescriptionAssume a major role in the Companys ongoing outreach to and communication with the financial community, including research analysts as well as institutional and individual investors in full compliance with applicable SEC, NYSE and other relevant rules and regulations. The Senior Planning Analyst - Investor Relations is responsible for assisting in the management, coordination and implementation of the investor relations plans for Consolidated Edison, Inc. Serves as point of contact for investors and other members of the financial community, including acting as company spokesperson to the financial community (analysts, portfolio managers, corporate governance officials, individual investors, etc.). Assists in the development of the Companys quarterly earnings presentations. The Senior Planning Analyst - Investor Relations will also have significant interaction with officers of the Company. Responsible for content on the companys investor relations website. The candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the Companys standing in the financial community and communicating Con Edisons strengths, performance characteristics and competitive advantages to members of the investment community.
ResponsibilitiesCore Responsibilities- Lead the development, coordination, and execution of the Companys Investor Relations programs, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure compliance with SEC, NYSE, Regulation FD, corporate governance, and disclosure requirements, maintaining the integrity of all external communications.
- Monitor and analyze industry, economic, sustainability, governance, and proxy voting developments, providing timely insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Serve as a key liaison to the investment community, building and maintaining relationships with investors, analysts, institutional shareholders, and stock exchange representatives.
- Prepare senior executives for investor engagement activities by developing presentations, speeches, talking points, briefing materials, and responses related to Company strategy, financial performance, and sustainability initiatives.
- Provide timely, accurate communications to investors and stakeholders, while gathering and reporting investor sentiment, analyst feedback, market intelligence, and research coverage.
- Manage Investor Relations and communications platforms, including WDesk for preparation of quarterly earnings reports, website content, disclosures, reports, and initiatives that enhance transparency and accessibility of information.
- Prepare and deliver analyses and reports for senior management and the Board of Directors regarding stock performance, peer benchmarking, market trends, sustainability developments, and Wall Street perspectives.
- Support corporate governance and sustainability initiatives through participation in internal and industry committees, shareholder engagement activities, and sustainability survey coordination.
- Oversee Investor Relations operations, including vendor and contract management, coordination of investor meetings and executive travel, acting on behalf of the Director and/or Section Manager of Investor Relations when required, and supporting special projects for executive leadership.
- Develop and maintain financial, operational, and peer benchmarking analyses to support investor messaging, earnings communications, capital allocation discussions, and engagement with the investment community.
QualificationsRequired Education/Experience- Master's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience or
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience
Preferred Education/Experience- Master's Degree in Accounting, Business Finance, Sustainability, Economics, or related field and 2 years in finance-related fields such as investor relations, investment banking, financial research, financial communications, or in experience in sustainability or other relevant areas
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Finance, Sustainability, Economics, or related field and 3 years in finance-related fields such as investor relations, investment banking, financial research, financial communications, or in experience in sustainability or other relevant areas
Relevant Work Experience- Must have experience in finance-type assignments and knowledge of financial statements of publicly-traded companies, required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and AI, required.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, required.
- Must possess strong analytical skills, required.
- Must be self-motivated and exhibit strong critical judgment skills, required.
- Must have ability to effectively communicate complicated financial concepts to a broad audience of financial and non-financial people, required.
Licenses and Certifications- Driver's License Required
Additional Physical Demands- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
