Job Title: Sr Planner, MSC

Division:Open Manufacturing (OMA)

Location:El Segundo, CA

What You Will Learn:

This position is responsible for managing the manufacturing activities for full buy with various Contract Manufacturers. Individual will manage the daily operational activities to ensure contract manufacturer adherence to monthly production plan and control of inventory levels, drive performance improvements, and partner with the contract manufacturers to improve agility and maintain high levels of service.

Primary Focus: Cruising & Catalog Management
  • Take full responsibility for all supply chain aspects of the catalog, ensuring optimal service levels, plan execution, inventory management, and agility metrics.
  • Drive escalation and resolution of production issues to maintain monthly plan adherence, issuing timely alerts to internal and external stakeholders and driving resolution.
  • Proactively manage inventory, track Excess & Obsolete (E&O) stock, and report monthly.
  • Build deep understanding of contract manufacturer (CM) capacity and processes and collaborate with Purchasing to foster strong supplier relationships.
  • Maintain efficient communication and relationships with Logistics, Industrial Quality, and CMs for each catalog. Work closely with the Master Scheduler to align launch prioritization and planning within the overarching production plan.
  • Drive agility projects to effectively respond to demand fluctuations.

Secondary Focus: Launch Support
  • Monitor reformulation project timelines with high attention to detail, carefully mitigating risks to protect brand service levels. Provide regular feedback to divisions on project status, achievability, and key deadlines.
  • Serve as a bridge between internal departments and contract manufacturers to prioritize and support launch milestones as needed.

Create and maintain related systematic master data and handle shifting priorities or time-sensitive situations to ensure continuous operational flow.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in business/engineering or supply chain discipline preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in a high-performance manufacturing facility, cosmetics industry preferred
  • APICS, CIPM, or NAPM, CPM certification preferred
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, spreadsheets, pivot tables, presentations
  • Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing within multiple departments
  • Strong Organizational skills and database proficiency
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Must have strong analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, good follow through, & sense of urgency
  • Ability to interface with contract manufactures and corporate personnel
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks and priorities in an ever-changing environment
  • Ability to respond quickly to constant changes in their project priorities, provide program management, and achieve results
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis is required. No immigration support/sponsorship offered for this role
  • Being present in the office three days a week is considered an essential function of all office-based roles for eligible full-time employees
