Job Summary: Provides physical therapy services for patients under the direction and supervision of the Director, Assistant Director, and or Clinical Supervisor or designee.
Essential Responsibilities:- Assumes the responsibility as outlined in the Physical Therapists job summary and responsibilities.
- Provides department in-service as requested by management (e.g., journal club presentation, and or regular in-service presentation).
- Serves as a clinical instructor as requested by management.
- Assists in orientation and training of employees as needed.
- Provides consultation to staff.
- May act as a mentor for staff.
- May provide input into the clinical competency of staff.
- Identifies process Improvement opportunities.
- May assist in the development and implementation of new clinical practice models for the delivery of care.
- Participates in performance improvement projects or other committees as requested by management.
- May be involved in the clinical competency of PTAs and Rehab Aides.
- May monitor the work of contract therapists and the treatment of patients in Kaiser and non-Kaiser facilities
- Performs other duties as required within scope of practice.
Basic Qualifications: Experience
- Minimum of (2) years experience as a Physical Therapist.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a Bachelor or Master or Doctoral degree with certification in physical therapy or foreign trained equivalent.
License, Certification, Registration
- Physical Therapist License (California) required at hire
- National Provider Identifier required at hire
Additional Requirements:- Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications: - APTA Certified Clinical Instructor preferred
