Job Description

As a Senior Photonics System Test Specialist at Nokia, you will be an integral part of our Fixed Networks Optics team. Your expertise in optical technologies and test infrastructure will be crucial in realizing Nokia's vision of an ultra-high-capacity access network. You will collaborate with optical experts, contract manufacturers, and R&D teams to develop innovative optical solutions. Your primary role is to ensure the successful transfer of new products to volume production, making a significant impact on our commercial success.

Responsibilities

  • Device testing, characterization, and modelling of optical components, sub-assemblies, and modules.
  • Contributing to calibration and control strategies for low-cost, mass production.
  • Developing and optimizing automated test setups for calibration and functional tests.
  • Transferring and implementing test setups at volume production facilities.
  • Interfacing with optical experts, contract manufacturers, and R&D teams.
  • Researching and solving complex technical problems related to optical technologies.
  • Working within schedule commitments and delivering high-quality results.
  • Gaining experience in production processes and yield optimization.
  • Using Python for test automation and analysis, and procedural/object-oriented programming.
  • Constructing and automating laboratory test setups with various equipment.
