Job OverviewYou will be responsible for supporting a broad range of People Operations functions, including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS management, and compliance, while partnering with Payroll, Legal, Recruiting, and Leadership to navigate complex issues and drive company-wide HR initiatives. This is a senior hands-on role for someone who combines deep HR expertise with the judgment to operate independently in a fast-changing, high-growth environment. Responsibilities- Administer and maintain HRIS, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding process for new hires and departing employees including administration of background checks, drug screens and I-9 forms for new hires.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and, where applicable, international employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain compliant and organized employee records (physical and digital), ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they stay up to date and compliant with applicable laws. Stay current on industry trends and best practices to enhance our HR processes.
- HR Projects and Communications support ad hoc HR projects, including engagement surveys, employee initiatives, and internal communications.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding People policies, benefits, payroll, and systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Recruiting, Payroll, and Legal to ensure alignment across the employee lifecycle.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in HR, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment, with a track record of leading HR initiatives
- Familiarity with U.S. employment laws and regulations; international employment law/regulation experience or experience with global workforce management
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Comfortable working independently and building structure and process in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

- Occasional standing and walking within the office
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
- Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports
- Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies
- Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)
