What you will doDesigns, develops, and oversees validation of package components and packaging processes. Evaluates new package concepts and technologies. Leads process improvement or task teams. Partners with the creative design group to deliver packaging components in a timely manner for research and development and packaging system projects. Directs major sections of new package development projects. Determines packaging methods and techniques and adapts standard methods to meet variations. Utilizes technical expertise, comprehensive work experience, complex and diverse package engineering knowledge to generate valid creative solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Leading development of new packages, including improvement and cost reduction of existing packages for the Skin Health & Beauty franchise.
- The individual will be responsible for all required specifications, documentation and package testing to support product release.
- The individual will be required to work independently with moderate supervision.
- They will also be expected to take a leadership role with packaging projects and possess the ability to influence and interface with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- This role requires a close interaction with other cross-functional groups including other functions within Research & Development, Marketing, Project Management, Design, Operations, Sourcing, and Regulatory Affairs.
- This role will require creative problem-solving abilities, sound technical background, and a passion for developing consumer products that delight consumers.
- The position will primarily support New Product Innovation/Development.
Education and Experience Requirements- A minimum of BS degree in Packaging, Engineering or a related Science discipline. Advanced degree is preferred.
- 6 years minimum experience in Cosmetic/Personal Care or related industry is required.
- This position requires knowledge of materials and processes used in construction and manufacturing of packaging such as:
- Extrusion / Injection molding
- Dispensing systems (airless, pumps, aerosols).
- Paper and paperboard.
- Various decoration techniques.
- Solid understanding of a broad spectrum of packaging materials, structures, components, and related conversion processes.
- Ability to manage multiple constantly evolving priorities with minimal supervision is required.
- Experience in package line trials and package testing is preferred.
- Strong technical writing/documentation skills are needed, along with good communication skills.
- Experience with GMP requirements preferred.

$90.100,00 - $127.200,00
