Full Job Description
As a senior outsourcing governance advisor for systems and infrastructure, you assist with pilot projects and help enhance the transparency and performance of outsourced services. You lead and influence practitioners on business relationships and development projects and highly innovative, complex strategic initiatives involving multiple sectors. You help develop and recommend strategic directions and business positions. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of your line of work. You help design, deploy and coordinate governance practices by ensuring impartial, rigorous management that is in line with organizational objectives. You provide advice and support to parties involved in the governance of contract negotiations and renewals. You take on a leadership role for development projects and innovative, complex strategic initiatives. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of your specialty area. You make recommendations on the development and execution of projects and initiatives with a very high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. You use your analytical skills and comprehensive, in-depth understanding of your line of business and the organization. Coordination is critical. You interact with a very large number of key partners working in a wide range of fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as a specialist advisor and subject matter expert. You're also a resource person and coach for decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to :
  • Ensure alignment and rally the different parties involved around a common vision
  • Act as a senior business partner in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Analyze agreements and issues from a strategic, commercial and operational perspective
  • Translate complexity into clear and applicable decisions
  • Explain the issues clearly to support decision-making
  • Use your legal background to structure issues, ask the right questions and effectively engage with legal advisors
  • Actively participate in negotiations with providers
  • Find the right balance between protection and flexibility, for long-lasting agreements
  • Act as contact point for the various functions involved
  • With the project manager and procurement, form a three-party strategic core to ensure that positions are aligned, decisions are consistent and operational, commercial and contractual aspects are taken into account
  • Ensure that progress, negotiating strategies and contractual documentation are coherent, at all times
  • Be able to raise points in a structured, constructive manner
  • Oversee client-provider discussions and ensure global alignment
  • Lead and oversee technical writers to ensure the quality and consistency of deliverables
