Job Summary

The Senior Operational Technology Engineer will be responsible for implementation, maintenance, and optimization of process controls, programming and automation infrastructure within our natural gas facilities and Pipeline system. Applies senior level knowledge and background to ensure optimal performance and operation of operational technology (OT) and SCADA systems, while adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain operational technology (OT) systems, including SCADA, PLC/PACS, and other process control systems.
  • Monitor performance of OT systems. Review and assess new technology, processes, materials and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of OT protocols and mapping them to Ignition SCADA systems.
  • Proficiency in Database systems and SQL scripting.
  • Proficiency in python, and java using the language inside the Ignition platform.
  • Assess operational limitations and implement solutions / strategies for improved processes and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance, IT and related teams to ensure seamless integration of OT systems.
  • Must be able to make sound engineering decisions under limited time constraints.
  • Monitor and support OT related projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry and safety regulations and procedures.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering) , or equivalent experience
  • 6 years of job-related experience, including experience with OT systems, Ignition SCADA and various Automation products.
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ignition Core certified preferred; GOLD certified a PLUS.
