Job Summary

BBVA Securities Inc. is seeking an experienced Operations professional with a strong background in post-trade execution services within the U.S. Fixed Income Markets. This role will support the BSI Operations team at our New York headquarters and provide specialized operational expertise across key U.S. market infrastructures.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Fixed Income operations, including Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (FICC) processing, Tri-Party Repo operations with BNY Mellon, and bilateral settlement activities through DTC. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring efficient trade settlement, exception management, operational integrity, and ongoing process transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the day-to-day operational activities of the BSI Operations team across U.S. Fixed Income products and settlement platforms.
  • Perform pre-matching and validation of trades to ensure timely and accurate settlement.
  • Monitor and follow up on settlement activity across U.S. markets and platforms, resolving issues proactively to minimize settlement risk.
  • Manage urgent operational inquiries from clients, counterparties, and Front Office teams in a timely and professional manner.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve settlement exceptions and reconciliation breaks to maintain the integrity and accuracy of operational records.
  • Partner with liquidity and treasury teams to ensure the successful and accurate close of business each day.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and market rules.
  • Participate in strategic transformation and process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and product delivery capabilities.
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of future operational models to support business growth and evolving market demands.


Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in post-trade operations within the U.S. Fixed Income market.
  • Strong technical expertise in:
  • FICC (Fixed Income Clearing Corporation) processing and clearing
  • Tri-Party Repo operations with BNY Mellon
  • Corporate bond settlement and operations through DTC
  • Solid understanding of settlement workflows, repo operations, and tri-party functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional, and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to continuously evolving business and regulatory requirements.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership over daily responsibilities and deliverables.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and counterparties.
  • FINRA Series 99 license required

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $180,000 to $195,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
