What you'll do- Performs second-level application support for the Transverse revenue operations solution
- Assists with provisioning and configuring customer solutions
- Implements internal networks, firewall rules, application servers and data processing servers
- Defines and executes production change management and incident response procedures
- Responds to and resolves production system network, hardware and software issues
- Ensures secure configuration of all systems and document security policies for PCI compliance
- Helps support production system networks, servers and software
Qualifications- BS/BA degree or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of experience installing, configuring and performing routine troubleshooting and performance evaluation tasks in Linux environments
- Strong understanding of MySQL
- 3+ years of experience deploying, troubleshooting and monitoring Java applications on the web
- Strong configuration, deployment, upgrade and patching skills for Apache Tomcat servers
- Experience managing requests and tasks in a ticketing or incident management system
- Unix shell, Perl or Python programming or scripting skills
- Working knowledge of DNS, NFS/NIS+, HTTP, SSL and/or mail protocols
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including routing, switching and security
- Knowledge of load balancing or high availability architectures is a plus
- Self motivated with exceptional organizational skills
- Strong communication skills for working closely with broader technical team
- Deep knowledge of Java web applications and technologies on Linux/Unix is highly valued
- Understanding of SOAP and REST web services
- Experience with IT support, especially Mac laptops, and WiFi network support
- Experience with PCI compliance
