Job Title: Senior Oil & Gas Accountant

Senior Oil & Gas AccountantWe are seeking an experienced Oil & Gas Accountant to support general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing account activity, and supporting financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Key Responsibilities- Manage full-cycle general ledger accounting and journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end close
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports
- Analyze account activity and investigate variances
- Maintain fixed asset and oil & gas property accounting records
- Support Joint Interest Billing (JIB), revenue accounting, and financial reporting
- Assist with audit and tax support as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve accounting issues
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 7+ years of oil & gas accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and oil & gas accounting practices
- Experience with JIB, revenue accounting, and month-end close
- Experience with Wolfepak or similar oil & gas accounting systems
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
