Job Title: Senior Nuclear Engineering Manager
Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of engineering and technical consulting projects within the nuclear power sector.
  • Manage engineering studies and project assignments, including scope, schedules, budgets, client communication, and overall project performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers throughout the nuclear engineering design process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support project delivery across multiple regions as needed.
  • Review, evaluate, and approve engineering calculations, reports, and other technical deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Contribute to business growth by supporting strategic initiatives, identifying opportunities, and developing client relationships.
  • Lead and coordinate proposal development activities, including responses to RFPs, RFQs, EOIs, and similar procurement opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative, safety-focused, and client-centered work environment while promoting organizational values and best practices.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience within the nuclear power industry.
  • Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of both light water reactor technology and advanced reactor designs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams while managing project scope, budgets, schedules, and quality objectives.
  • Working knowledge of nuclear industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of multidisciplinary engineering interfaces and project coordination.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze engineering documentation, including P&IDs, PFDs, single-line diagrams (SLDs), plot plans, and related technical drawings.
  • Proven success in business development, proposal preparation, and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Willingness to travel on occasion for client meetings and project support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Experience preparing technical reports and project documentation.
  • Proven history of delivering engineering projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and developing engineering professionals.
  • Familiarity with engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and related project delivery methodologies.
